This has been a truly fabulous week and hopefully we can keep up this trend!
MOLLY JACKSON, age 7, had a really wonderful time filming a Ray O Vac commercial at Disneyland this week. She was a fairy princess who turns a stroller into a horse and carriage. This was Molly's second commercial in just a few weeks of arriving in L.A.
SAMMI CECUTTI, also 7, is filming DOMINOs pizza commercial today . Both Molly and Carissa Flores also had callbacks for this so I was confident that one of them would book!
We're all excited for AMY LAWHORN who just booked an episode of the series, BONES, shoots that next week... Below is link to her webisodes also...
JAKE BORELLI just got word today that he booked an Anti-Smoking PSA... He has three PSYCH teen flashbacks scenes on the internet now-- new one airs October 9

on GREY's ANATOMY-- they even called to "put a pin" in which is ALMOST A BOOKING -- but for whatever reason, they ended up casting another boy but we are so proud and excited for Kiev -- he is definitely on his way to major roles!
It's been a great week-- and guess what-- Kirsten will be out of town a whole month so hopefully the "OUT OF TOWN AUDTION SURGE" trend will happen this month!

mid-September 2009 update
WOW! We've had a great month and of course the week I was on a cruise and hard to reach was a SUPER-WEEK. But oddly, it has always been like that -- it seems that if I take off for a "real vacation" week, there is a surge of activity -- and bookings too!
The most exciting news is that BRITT FLATMO, age 12 just booked a supporting role in the new Katherine Heigl/Josh Duhamel feature film, "Life As We Know it" and will be spending several weeks in Atlanta, filming many scenes with Josh and Katherine...And when she finishes that project she is slated to film "Detour in Life" with Corey Haim in Sacramento... We are also hopeful that she'll work on the show "Medium" this season --- She had a great meeting with production staff there this week and they stated that they want to get her in the show.

TANNER BLAZE just celebrated his 12th birthday --- ON SET with Kevin James in BOSTON while filming the feature, "ZOOKEEPER". Production made a very big deal for his birthday, gave him lots of Red Sox stuff and he went on a tour of the Red Sox stadium....
Another exciting bit of news was that ISABELLA OLIVIERA was one of the final choices for the recurring role of Ivy on the new series "Good Luck Charlie". Isabella is 16 and has been with YPS for 4 years but not very active the past year
because she has been attending the LA. School of Performing Arts and that keeps her very busy. She is just gearing up again to be active and this was a great start! Sadly, someone else got the role but I think almost every girl ages 13-17 auditioned for that role so to be one of the final two "on hold" for a week was a real achievement

Clearly getting a great start in L.A. is newcomer, DYLAN ROUDA, age 13, from Ohio. Two rounds of boot camp this summer and he went home to pack up and return, has been here just 5 weeks and booked three jobs already! The first was for the Discovery Channel series, "I Didn't Know I was Pregnant" followed by two promos for Disney. Dylan's older sister AVERY, age 16 just booked , "America's
Best Recipes" and will be filming this weekend -- cooking and acting, her two favorite activities!
Another newcomer is ELVIS PARKER, age 12 from Santa Fe. Elvis also did two rounds of boot camp and moved out to L.A. to tackle the industry. It's been a little slower for Elvis but he has had callbacks on student films and just filmed one yesterday. He is also active now with LA Connections Improv group which has been fun and challenging....

Almost immediate success for little ( and I do mean little) MOLLY JACKSON age 7
from El Paso. Barely in town a week or so and she booked a SAG national commercial for CVS. Good strong start! Maybe she'll be as lucky as AIDEN ROSS, also a small 7 who booked Subway his first week in town last October and the commercial "split" into several different spots. Wish we could get this New Yorker back into L.A. for more than a minute so he could book some more!
Locally grown California kid in the group is OLIVIA FINE who just turned 6 this month-- that very important "LEGAL 6 STATUS" that will increase her auditions considerably. But at age 5 she still did okay --- today she is recording another episode of the Nickelodeon series "Ni Hao Kai Lan" she has been doing for several months and she has a Comcast commercial airing that she filmed a couple months ago....

Also saw Tanner recently in his newest commercial, BOUNTY paper towels... Donis also did Disney commercial and has a One A Day commercial I have yet to see but it's airing. New client, Carissa Flores booked her second audition and filmed a Sara Lee commercial which is airing. Auriele Ames

Britt Flatmo has been attending some film festivals where the film, "Abuelo", in which she has the lead role. The short film is doing very well in the festival circuit which much talk of this becoming a full-length feature.
Jake Borelli has had a good start in L.A. Just graduated from high school in Ohio, he came out for June boot camp, booked a role on "iCarly" and this week he has another booking for USA network as young Shawn Spencer, playing the younger teen version of the lead in the TV series, "Psych"....
Our other Jake is Jake Elliot, age 10 and he has enjoyed a summer of theatre with a lead role in the Foothill Theatre production of "Godspell". Jake still loves film work though -- he has a callback for the film "The Crossing" tomorrow.... Both Jake and his good friend Donis Leonard keep busy dancing and Donis has also spent a chunk of time this summer refining his diving skills.... we like our actors to be diversified!
Sydney Bloom has focused on dance all summer and plans to make that her priority for awhile but will definitely return to acting. She has been training with top choreographer Debbie Allen and has been invited into an elite dance group at the young age of 7!
And Destiny Whitlock is going to be devoting about 20 hours a week to training in gymnastics yet still hopes to continue auditioning and acting whenever she can.
Anxiously awaiting the premiere of her feature film, "Tooth Fairy" with Ashley Judd and The Rock....

End of summer - August 2008 - update
It was MISERABLY slow the last 2 weeks of July and early August but just before I left for the cruise on August 9, it got busier!
One of the most exciting bookings is for VANESSA BORN --- please join me in this cheer for her -- Two bits, 4 bits, 6 bits a dollar, Vanessa booked BRING IT ON Cinco, so let's all holler!!! Okay, I know, it's cheesy but why not? Vanessa has a lead role as Gloria, best friend cheerleader of Lina who is played by Cristina Milian. 8 weeks of work for Vanessa-- woo-hoo!
KAYLIN STEWART booked 7 days on the new series THE MENTALIST with Simon Baker-- watch for that on CBS in September... little brother Riley continues to work on the new 90210 show and has had a number of callbacks for commercials.
DESTINY GRACE WHITLOCK is one of the final two choices for a very nice role in the feature film, "Tooth Fairy" starring Dwayne Johnson , the ROCK. She'll be screen testing next week.
Destiny's big bro TANNER continues to be our top booker--- just filmed NCIS, had a Listerine commercial re-instated and filmed a new GE commercial as well as booking a role on the new DRAKE and JOSH CHRISTMAS feature film...And biggest bro AUSTIN has decided to focus a lot on high school and baseball and much less on acting....
OLIVIA FINE just got a voice-over agent so we may soon hear her cute distinctive voice on the airwaves. She just had a meeting with some DISNEY execs and we're hoping they decide to create a show just for her!! In the meantime, she'll be filming an episode for MY NAME IS EARL next week! ( And don't forget, Corina has an Earl episode airing in September!

Unlike most theatre, this is actually a great paying gig in an EQUITY show so it is especially exciting! Show opens in December... we'll keep you posted... and don't you think she is the PERFECT Peter Pan???
Also doing an absolutely splendid job on stage this month is SAMI KLEIN in the Neil Simon comedy, "CHAPTER TWO". She was absolutely wonderful, so hysterically funny and fun! You can also see SAMI almost every morning about 8:30 a.m. during the TODAY show when her IHOP commercial airs...
AMY LAWHORN filming another web series, BLAKE and VANESSA have been busy producing their own indie film , MARTIN SIMONE booked two jobs just before returning to Seattle -- a new Arsenio Hall show and project for Discovery Channel. His sister NATALIA is now working on the film, "Dear Lemon Lima" in Seattle...
Just started airing is SIERRA DUNCIL's Febreze commercial... the scenario is that mom is taking a bath and dad and the kids smell her Febreze candles and soon follow the scene to her bathroom.... BRENNA DEMERSON has JC Penneys back to school commercials airing... JAKE ELLIOTT called back to do some more dancing after his PBS gig he did last month...
You should also be seeing ASPEN CRUZ in several commercials -- Home Depot, Coca Cola, Bank of America and soon a DISNEYLAND commercial in which she is flying. She just booked a DOWNHY commercial also...
Also on avail recently was new client RUSTY ORELL -- not bad for his second audition -- he'll book something soon I know.... and so will brother Austin....it is going to take awhile for our new clients to really "get into the race" but we know that they are going to be winners! Many many callbacks for many of our clients this past month --- love those callbacks -- bookings are better but callbacks matter a lot also!

Sydney will also be seen in a commercial for ASHLEY FURNITURE, airing mostly in southern states around Father's Day.

TANNER BLAZE had a blast jumping into pool and swimming for a new Afflac commercial. Besides seeing him in a Purina Puppy Chow commercial, he will also be featured in Purina print as well. His sister DESTINY booked both PAYLESS SHOES and SAMSUNG PHONE this month. RILEY STEWART has booked Campbells.
BLAKE ARMSTRONG filmed a Mc Donalds commercial but we won't see it unless we go to Great Britain.... Both HAYLEY ALCROFT and ALEXANDER GOSCHIN met with director for new Scooby-Doo film and Hayley is going on to a network test this week for the role of Velma. Looks very promising!

We've had lots of callbacks and avails ---AMY LAWHORN and ASHLEY GREENE share the title of callback queens this month I think. SOOO close to booking so many projects but just not quite right I guess. Ashley recently completed a short film, "Learning to Fly" and is working on another film project now.
BRITT FLATMO had the fun of being flown to Florida to perform "Great Expectations" on stage there and will be performing the play again in July in Hollywood-- and someday on Broadway, we hope!
And NATHAN KRESS is back at working shooting season 2 of "iCarly" and looking forward to a quick trip to New York to do a publicity photo shoot with Christopher Melloni, best known for his role as Elliott in "Law and Order" but also in a film with Nathan due out late this summer called "GYM TEACHER".
I was able to have a short visit with ANISSA DAVIS at her home near Dallas where she is recovering from her Easter Sunday leg injury. She looks great, has a very positive attitude and is excited about going to Stanford and to Washington D.C. later this summer for leadership conferences.
And it is time to say farewell to RACHEL GLENN --at least for awhile. She has accepted a job teaching pre-school in the San Francisco Bay area and will be moving back north on June 8th. We will have her come down every couple months though to do some teaching....
APRIL 1, 2008 update
Many of our younger clients are doing especially well right now. HANNAH GREENE was seen in one of our showcases by a casting director who brought her in for a role in a short film , "Miss Connie"and she booked it, filmed last week. She will also be filming for a webisode series called "Sheer Genius"
Newest and youngest client, OLIVIA FINE, just 4 years old has been cast in the feature film, "My Sister's Keeper" and portrays the lead character as a young child. The lead is played by Abigail Breslin-- for those of you who don;t know Olivia, here's her pic -- you can see how much she resembles Abigail ...
JAKE ELLIOTT will be filming a promotional video this week for Talpa, a European based company and CONNOR DEAN booked a video that shoots later this month. Jake and Connor's brother ALEX should be both seen soon in the screening of an AFI film, "The Balloon"
ASHLEY YANG TAO filmed a BEN-10 promo for Cartoon Network which begins airing Monday, April 14. ASPEN CRUZ filmed for Coca Cola and has had many callbacks the past couple weeks. She and her brother Christian Cruz will be filming a music video for the group "Bones, Thugs and Harmony".
CORINA BOETTGER also filmed a music video this past weekend, but possibly more exciting news is that she was just hired to work at a DISNEY Store......
And AMBER BREWER just got word today that she booked a small role in a feature film called "SHE SHE".
BRITT FLATMO can be seen frequently on TV in Reddi Whip commercials and in one for Devon Energy. She has been especially busy the past week or so with filming the "Nic and Tristan" feature film and the final rehearsals for the new Broadway-bound musical, "Great Expectations". I went to dress rehearsal Saturday evening and the show was really wonderful. Took new client Taylor Cunningham along with us and the 13 year old loved this show and wants to see it again! Taylor just joined our group about 10 days ago and has had his first L.A. auditions already for commercial and a new series so he's off to a good start.

KAYLIN STEWART is also filming a feature film this week with SAMMI HANRATTY who got her start at YPS a few years ago. It's a film about the new AMERICAN GIRL doll that will debut later this year or early next. What a week of auditions this would have been for Kaylin if she wasn't stuck on a film set -- In the past 48 hours she has had been requested for 2 feature films, two pilots and 3 commercials! No auditions for a week or so and then suddenly 6 or 7 in less than 2 day time frame! Little brother Riley has been busy also with auditions , callbacks and straight to producer requests this past week.
TREY WESLEY has been in Shreveport filming with Jack Black in a feature called YEAR ONE. Here's a pic of "caveman" Trey with a "cave child" on set.
It always amazes me though how those cavemen and neanderthals had such great looking teeth!BE SURE TO TUNE INTO CBS next week for CSI NEW YORK. You'll see both Destiny and Austin Whitlock in this next episode on Weds April 9th at 10 p.m.Austin has a guest star role and will be featured heavily through the entire hour and Destiny is seen only near the end when she has been rescued.
And of course there are about a dozen commercials on the air with Tanner Blaze Whitlock-- I have seen the PUPPY CHOW one a couple times now in past 24 hours --He also has three other new ones airing soon -- Lazy Boy, Round Up Weed or bug killer, and Bush's Baked Beans. He's on avail now for Walmart.

Welcome back to DYLAN SHAY who just returned to L.A. after 6 months in Seattle. And here's hoping and praying that ANISSA DAVIS who suffered a serious leg injury on Easter Sunday will have a speedy recovery and continue on her journey to accomplish greatness as a performer-- and special thanks to Jorden Brooke Estis' family for giving Anissa so much of their time, love and energy while she has been hospitalized, undergone surgeries and is now going into physical therapy.

KAYLIN STEWART will be working for at least one week on the new AMERICAN GIRL feature film-- she was recently offered the role of Scout in the theatre production of "To Kill a Mockingbird" so not sure how this filming affects that now...
The WHITLOCK family continues to do well! Destiny and Austin are both going to be in an episode of CSI:NY. Austin has a guest star, "top of show" role and get this -- his character's name is Jason BUT the kidnapped kid's REAL name in the script is AUSTIN TANNER..... I missed October Road this Monday night ( I confess, I really like Medium and I don't have TIVO) but I guess Destiny had a very cute scene this week according to Rachel.

SEBASTIAN ROCKEFELLER had a fabulous time playing a young Joe Pesci kind of kid in "Kiddywood" a pilot produced by Bodhi and Jenna Elfman
NICOLE ROMAN just shot THREE PSAs for the state of Texas.... and a callback today for KFC so here's hoping.....
JESSICA GARCIAstill filming the feature, "L. A, THE MOVIE" -- looks like she'll be busy with this film until after March 15
HAYLEY ALCROFT has had numerous callbacks/work sessions and network sessions with MTV for the lead in the new Nickelodeon response to High School Musical -- a musical flick called "SPECTACULAR"-- which could take her to Vancouver, Canada for about 5 weeks---
